A content adjuster for a major insurance company called Mammoth to help inventory contents from a severe fire loss. Mammoth came out to help and discovered that the homeowner had a jewelry collection valued at $40,000 in a second floor closet. The staircase and second story subfloor were heavily damaged and unsafe. Since the house wasn’t livable, the jewelry had to be recovered.
Mammoth was able to remove the board-up and enter the second story of the home through a window. Once inside, we were able to find the jewelry box and reunite the homeowner with their prized treasure. Both the homeowner and the adjuster were thrilled. After that, we stayed on to help the adjuster inventory the rest of the homeowner’s belongings.
